Welcome to The Character Method

Meet the Team behind the Methods

Caroline Harris

Founder of The Character Method

Caroline Harris is the founder of The Character Method, an umbrella brand creating practical digital programs that help children and young people develop confidence, kindness, respect, responsibility, leadership, and social graces.

Based in the Clemson area of South Carolina, Caroline is a certified etiquette consultant who spent more than two years teaching etiquette and social skills to children and young adults through in-person classes and workshops. As more families expressed interest, she realized the need was greater than the number of children she could personally reach in a classroom. The Character Method was created to make these lessons available to more families, schools, teams, and communities.

Caroline’s background also includes athletics, corporate sales, entrepreneurship, and real estate. She is a former Division I basketball player at the University of Louisiana and spent more than a decade in corporate sales before building a successful real estate career. These experiences shaped her understanding of confidence, communication, preparation, sportsmanship, resilience, and the way character influences every area of life.

Caroline and her husband are raising two young boys, who provide plenty of real-life opportunities to practice the skills she teaches. She is quick to acknowledge that being an etiquette consultant does not make her a perfect person or a perfect parent, and it does not mean her children get everything right. Their family is learning, practicing, reminding, and growing together, just like the families The Character Method serves.

Her Christian faith shapes her parenting, her work, and the purpose behind The Character Method. The core programs are designed to serve families from different backgrounds, with free, optional faith-based companion materials available for families who want to connect the lessons to Scripture.

Caroline is also actively involved in her community. She has coached youth basketball, supported local organizations and fundraising efforts, and is a proud 2026 graduate of Leadership Clemson. Outside of work, she enjoys watching almost any sport, spending time with her family, and exploring new places with her boys.

Through The Character Method, Caroline hopes to make confidence, kindness, and social graces easier to explore and practice in everyday life. To her, this is more than a business. It is a mission and a ministry created to serve children, families, and communities.

Our Mission Prayer

Lord, if You increase our business, increase our generosity.

If You increase our income, increase our willingness to give.

If You increase our influence, increase our humility.

If You give us more, teach us to steward more.

Let our business provide opportunity for others.

Let it help families.

Let it create jobs.

Let it meet needs.

Let it support people who are struggling.

Let it become a channel through which Your goodness reaches others.

And when success comes, don’t let us forget where it came from.

Keep our heart grateful.

Keep our motives pure.

Keep Jesus at the center.

Because we don’t want to build something that makes us successful but spiritually empty.

We want to build something that honors You.

Father, bless this business, not simply so we can have more, but so we can do good with what You place in our hands.

May every increase become an opportunity to give.

May every profit become an opportunity to serve.

May every open door become an opportunity to glorify Your Kingdom.

Bless the work of our hands, heart and mind, so that we may become a blessing to others.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
